چکیده

Let p be a large prime number, K,L, M, λ be integers with 1 ≤ M ≤ p and gcd(λ, p) = 1. The aim of our paper is to obtain sharp upper bound estimates for the number I2(M ; K, L) of solutions of the congruence xy ≡ λ (mod p), K + 1 ≤ x ≤ K + M, L + 1 ≤ y ≤ L + M and for the number I3(M ; L) of solutions of the congruence xyz ≡ λ (mod p), L + 1 ≤ x, y, z ≤ L + M. Using the idea of Heath-Brown from [6], we obtain a bound for I2(M ; K, L), which improves several recent results of Chan and Shparlinski [3]. For instance, we prove that if M < p1/4, then I2(M ; K, L) ≤ Mo(1). The problem with I3(M ; L) is more difficult and requires a different approach. Here, we connect this problem with the Pell diophantine equation and prove that for M < p1/8 one has I3(M ; L) ≤ Mo(1). Our results have applications to some other problems as well. For instance, it follows that if I1, I2, I3 are intervals in F∗p of length |Ii| < p1/8, then |I1 · I2 · I3| = (|I1| · |I2| · |I3|)1−o(1). MSC Classification: 11A07, 11B75

Fixed points for Banach and Kannan contractions in modular spaces with a graph

In this paper, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of xed points for Banach and Kannancontractions dened on modular spaces endowed with a graph. We do not impose the Δ2-conditionor the Fatou property on the modular spaces to give generalizations of some recent results. Thegiven results play as a modular version of metric xed point results.

A Novel Hybrid-Excited Modular Variable Reluctance Motor for Electric Vehicle Applications: Analysis, Comparison, and Implementation

A variable reluctance machine (VRM) has been proven to be an outstanding candidate for electric vehicle (EV) applications. This paper introduces a new double-stator, 12/14/12-pole three-phase hybrid-excited modular variable reluctance machine (MVRM) for EV applications. In order to demonstrate the superiorities of the proposed structure, the static torque characteristics and dynamic performance...

P-90: The Effect of Nitric Oxide on Mouse Oocyte in Vitro Maturation in Two and Three Dimensional Conditions

Background: In vitro culture of ovarian follicles may preserve fertility in women with premature ovarian failure due to cancer .It seems that creation a condition that could maintain cellular communications and supports growth of follicles to produce mature oocytes appear to be essential. Nitric oxide (NO) has been recently shown to act with a dual action in mouse oocyte meiotic maturation depe...

The Quasi-Normal Direction (QND) Method: An Efficient Method for Finding the Pareto Frontier in Multi-Objective Optimization Problems

In managerial and economic applications, there appear problems in which the goal is to simultaneously optimize several criteria functions (CFs). However, since the CFs are in conflict with each other in such cases, there is not a feasible point available at which all CFs could be optimized simultaneously. Thus, in such cases, a set of points, referred to as 'non-dominate' points (NDPs), will be...

Fixed point theorem for non-self mappings and its applications in the modular ‎space

‎In this paper, based on [A. Razani, V. Rako$check{c}$evi$acute{c}$ and Z. Goodarzi, Nonself mappings in modular spaces and common fixed point theorems, Cent. Eur. J. Math. 2 (2010) 357-366.] a fixed point theorem for non-self contraction mapping $T$ in the modular space $X_rho$ is presented. Moreover, we study a new version of Krasnoseleskii's fixed point theorem for $S+T$, where $T$ is a cont...
